This Tuesday, September 16th, the IDIA seminar will be traveling to the Biomechanics Laboratory to investigate the motion capture system. This system will provide extensive motion data which will allow students to create extremely accurate animations.
The Music Technology department will be hosting an electronic music concert, EM|One, on Tuesday, September 23rd at 8:00pm in Sursa Hall. The concert will feature members of the IDIAA performing music remotely through Second Life for a live audience located in Sursa Hall.
As of Thursday, August 7th, John Fillwalk will be attending the Vision 2020 conference located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The conference is focusing on the exponential growth of digital technologies and what it means to be a digital campus.
On Wednesday July 29, John Fillwalk and Phil Repp will be attending the Campus Technology Conference located in Boston to accept the Campus Technology Innovators award for the IDIAA 2nd LIfe project. Fillwalk will also be presenting the project ‘UnWired’ which was a collaboration between FIllwalk, Keith Kothman and Jesse Allison.
The IDIA is being featured at the Blackboard World 08 Conference in Las Vegas on July 15th, with a presentation from the IDIA’s director John Fillwalk. He will be presenting the project “the Aesthetic Camera” which won the first Blackboard Greenhouse Grant for Virtual Awards.
